Hey there, fellow grads! So, guess what? The founder of FDH Holdings Limited, Thomson Mpinganjira, had some pretty inspiring words for us University of Livingstonia (Unilia) graduates. During our 17th Congregation Graduation ceremony, he urged us to consider venturing into entrepreneurship. And you know what? He’s got a point!
Mpinganjira, who happens to be a business tycoon himself, emphasized that we have a responsibility to contribute to the socio-economic development of our country. And what better way to do that than by starting our own businesses? He even shared his own success story as the first Malawian to own a bank. Talk about motivation!
But here’s the catch, my friends. Mpinganjira also stressed the importance of integrity. He reminded us to steer clear of corrupt practices when seeking opportunities. Let’s keep it clean and ethical, folks!
Now, let’s give a shoutout to the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia for showing us that entrepreneurship is possible. They’ve paved the way, and now it’s our turn to follow in their footsteps.
During the graduation ceremony, Temwani Simwaka, the Vice Chairperson of Unilia Council, highlighted that our university is ranked as the best private university in the country. That’s right, we’re the cream of the crop! This recognition from the government of Malawi means that our programs are top-notch and our skills are in demand worldwide. Way to go, Unilia!
And let’s not forget the importance of education. Isaiah Mhone, the Deputy General Secretary for CCAP Synod of Livingstonia, emphasized that education is not just about spiritual support but also about meeting people’s additional needs. It’s about empowering ourselves and making a difference in the world.
So, my fellow graduates, let’s take a moment to celebrate our achievements. We’ve worked hard to earn our degrees and diplomas, and now it’s time to put our knowledge to good use. Take it from Patrick Paul Byamasu, who was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering. He’s ready to apply his skills for the benefit of our country.
In conclusion, my friends, the world is our oyster. It’s time to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and make a positive impact. Let’s show the world what we’re made of!
That’s all for now. Stay tuned for more exciting adventures on our journey as entrepreneurs!
