Taiwanese display maker AUO is making a strategic shift by moving towards upstream production and collaborating directly with automakers. The company aims to stay ahead of its Chinese rivals by better understanding the development trends for in-vehicle displays. In line with this strategy, AUO recently announced its acquisition of German auto parts manufacturer BHTC, which supplies to Audi and other automakers. AUO Chairman Paul Peng expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating that it will enable the company to provide diverse innovative solutions for its global customers and partners.
