Shift Automotive is gearing up for their annual charity car and bike run, and this year they are supporting the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal. The event, now in its fourth year, brings together car and bike enthusiasts from all over the region to raise money for a good cause. Kirstin and Brad Trimble, the owners of Shift Automotive, are excited to contribute to such a meaningful charity. They believe that by organizing this charity run, they can not only raise funds for Christmas assistance but also bring the community together for a fun activity. The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal is the chosen beneficiary of the funds and donations raised during the event. This appeal aims to create food hampers and spread joy to local residents who may need extra support during the holiday season.
Bundaberg Regional Council Mayor Jack Dempsey expressed his delight at Shift Automotive’s decision to donate the proceeds from their charity run to the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal. He commended the car and bike enthusiasts for coming together to help those in need this Christmas. The charity car and bike run will take place on Sunday 10 December, starting at 7 am at Shift Automotive in Bundaberg. Participants will follow a cruising course that will take them to Bargara and then across to Elliott Heads, where they will gather at around 8 am on the foreshore. The event promises to be a fantastic community gathering, with raffles, prize draws, food vans, an ice cream truck, and more.
Kirstin emphasized that there is no need for participants to pre-register, and they can join the run at the beginning or at the end in Elliott Heads. She also mentioned that everyone is welcome, regardless of the condition of their vehicle, and donations are optional. This year, the organizers are excited to raise funds through the sale of raffle tickets. They have received generous prize donations from local businesses, so there are some amazing prizes up for grabs. Additionally, there will be prizes for the best Christmas-themed person, car, and bike.
