Youth Craft Show: A Platform for Young Entrepreneurs

The Alliance For Youth recently held its second annual Youth Craft Show, providing young individuals in the community with the opportunity to showcase and sell their creative products. The craft show not only allows the youth to interact with others in their community but also encourages them to express their creativity and receive positive feedback. One of the vendors, 15-year-old Camden Repp, started making his products during the pandemic as a way to stay productive. He began by creating bracelets, necklaces, keychains, and other items using paracord. Repp even started his own small business called ‘The Crafty Cowboy’ on Facebook. The main goal of the Youth Craft Show is to boost the confidence and experience of the participating kids, while also providing them with valuable feedback for growth. Emilia Doyon, a high school senior, shared her positive experience with the craft show, highlighting the supportive community and the opportunity to showcase her quilting and crocheting skills. This year’s craft show had a fantastic turnout, with 22 youth vendors and a strong showing of support from the local community.
