Empowering Professors to Inspire Student Entrepreneurs

Hey guys, check this out! The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is up to something cool. They’re training 22 university and college professors from Uttarakhand to mentor students and help them start their own businesses. It’s all part of the Devbhoomi Entrepreneurship Scheme sponsored by the Higher Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The training programme kicked off on November 5 and it’s going to be a six-day thing at the institute’s campus.

During the programme, they’re going to have sessions on innovation, creating businesses, and the different schemes offered by the state and central government. They’ll also cover stuff like team building, creative thinking, and how to come up with a business plan. After the training, these professors will be all set to guide and inspire students to be leaders in the world of entrepreneurship. They’re even going to have detailed workshops and make action plans for each participant.

Dr Deepak Pandey, the Nodal Officer of Devbhoomi Entrepreneurship Scheme, said that the goal is to create an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship in the universities and government institutions of Uttarakhand, following the New Education Policy-2020.

This is just the first batch of professors to get this awesome training. There are going to be two more batches, and in the next 5 years, they’re aiming to mentor about 50,000 students and train 15,000 students in entrepreneurship. How cool is that?

And get this, after the six-day training, they’re going to have a two-day boot camp in different institutions in Uttarakhand. It’s all about getting students excited about entrepreneurship and helping them turn their ideas into reality. Exciting stuff, right?
