The Luxe Life of a TikTok Star

2 min read

Chloe Liem, a TikToker from Singapore, has become famous for her ‘stay-at-home daughter’ lifestyle, where she spends a lot of money on her dad’s credit card. She proudly flaunts her lavish life, splurging on designer items, jewelry, and expensive meals with her equally wealthy friends. In one video, she spent a whopping $3,204.36 in a single day.

In the video, she started her day at Cartier with no intention of spending money, but ended up buying a $5,000 pair of earrings. She then had lunch with four friends at a Michelin-star fine-dining restaurant, spending another $800. The cheapest thing she bought that day was a $25 dessert at Marmalade Pantry.

At the end of the video, she claimed that everything she spent was ‘free’ because it wasn’t her money. She explained that she counts everything as ‘free’ because she charges it all to her dad’s credit card, including using her parents’ car.

Many viewers expressed envy for Liem’s lifestyle, with some commenting that they would love to be a ‘stay-at-home daughter’ if they had rich parents. Others joked about their own financial situations, with one person saying they could only afford the $25 dessert.

Liem also outlined the requirements for being a ‘stay-at-home daughter’ in another video, calling it the ‘stay-at-home daughter starter pack’. She emphasized the need for a wealthy father, attending private school, making connections with similar people, and owning the ‘holy trinity of rich girl bracelets’ by the age of 16. She also mentioned that the ideal rich girl sidekick should be a small dog breed that fits into a Birkin 35, such as poodles, Poms, or Chihuahuas.
