Discovering East End Cellars Norwood: A Culinary and Wine Haven in Adelaide

2 min read

For more than twenty years, East End Cellars has served as the preferred destination for post-work beverages, leisurely wine consumption on Sunday afternoons, and even morning coffee. Following the successful inauguration of Mothervine, the team has been enthusiastic about expanding their flagship brand through the establishment of a new cellar in Norwood.

Upon initial observation, the Norwood establishment may appear remarkably similar to the original venue located on Vardon Avenue, however there are discernible distinctions. The most notable modification is the introduction of an extensive menu crafted by executive chef Josh Lansley, previously renowned as the sous-chef at Osteria Oggi and head chef at Press Food & Wine.

In addition to offering a wide variety of wines, the Norwood location aspires to become a sought-after dining destination. The menu encompasses classic brasserie dishes such as steak frites and apple tarte tatin, alongside European-inspired selections including Ligurian focaccia sandwiches, wild mushroom and truffle ragu gnocchetti, and the popular choice: the curried prawn sandwich. For those seeking a swift meal, cheese and charcuterie platters, as well as grab-and-go sandwiches, are readily accessible.

The comprehensive wine collection consists of 600 bottles, and akin to the Vardon Avenue branch, patrons have the option to select a bottle for on-site consumption for a corkage fee, or opt for a variety of wines by the glass.
