The inaugural China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) commenced in Beijing under the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future.” This national-level expo, running from November 28 to December 2, has captured the attention and engagement of the global supply chain community.

Spanning an impressive 100,000 square meters, the exhibition presented five major supply chain categories: Smart Vehicle, Green Agriculture, Clean Energy, Digital Technology, and Healthy Life, along with a special area dedicated to supply chain services. A total of 515 domestic and international enterprises and institutions participated in the event, showcasing cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, and services across various sectors.

A prominent feature of the exhibition was the display of aluminum alloy materials designed for automotive applications, including body components and coverings for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), structural elements, and materials for power battery packs. Notably, Chinalco Advanced Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a Chongqing-based company, drew attention with its exhibition of aluminum materials for vehicle usage.

In an interview, a representative from Chinalco Advanced Manufacturing Co., Ltd. stated, “These aluminum materials are primarily supplied to new energy vehicle enterprises. We’ve garnered significant interest and inquiries from numerous companies seeking technological and product collaborations.”

The trend of lightweighting in automotive development has made substantial progress in recent years. Through the use of lightweight materials such as aluminum alloy instead of traditional steel, vehicles can achieve significant weight reduction, leading to lower energy consumption. Furthermore, the recyclability of aluminum alloy has propelled its prominence in the automotive industry, in alignment with the global focus on sustainability and reduced carbon emissions.

As a trailblazer in the research and production of aluminum for automotive use, Chinalco Advanced Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has made significant advancements in the fundamental theory, industrial technology, and key equipment technology of automotive aluminum. The company boasts two specialized production lines for aluminum alloy sheet materials used in automotive cover components, establishing a comprehensive production capacity chain for aluminum sheet materials, profiles, and automotive components.

With product certifications from nearly ten automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including prominent entities such as BMW, NIO, Li Auto, and XPeng Motors, Chinalco Advanced Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has solidified its position as a reputable supplier in the industry. Its products have been successfully integrated into various joint ventures and domestically produced NEVs.

In the future, the company aims to leverage its participation in the expo to exhibit its “Made in Chongqing” aluminum materials to NEV enterprises domestically and abroad. Additionally, Chinalco Advanced Manufacturing Co., Ltd. endeavors to expand its network and collaborate on technological and product advancements with other enterprises, with the ultimate objective of propelling the broader application of lightweight technology and products based on aluminum alloy in high-end NEVs, thus catalysing the overall development of the industry chain.
