Recognizing Innovators: Crescent Enterprises’ Climate Innovation Prize Awarded to Global Entrepreneurs

Crescent Enterprises, a distinguished multinational corporation, has recently announced the recipients of its ‘Crescent Enterprises Climate Innovation Prize’ in partnership with MIT Solve. The award, bestowed at the COP28 Business & Philanthropy Climate Forum, included a non-dilutive funding of Dh735,000 for the successful entrepreneurs.

Out of a selection of over 45 startups within MIT Solve’s climate portfolio, four entrepreneurs were chosen as winners of the ‘Crescent Enterprises Climate Innovation Prize’ for their pioneering solutions, with half of the winners being women.

Tushar Singhvi, deputy CEO and head of investments at Crescent Enterprises, expressed his satisfaction in collaborating with MIT Solve for the Climate Innovation Prize, affirming the organization’s dedication to sustainable development and backing for global technological innovation. Alexia Akbay, CEO and founder of Symbrosia, hailed the prize as a transformative force for climate startups.

The COP28 Business & Philanthropy Climate Forum, conducted in collaboration with global partners, brought together more than 1,300 business and philanthropy leaders and policymakers to encourage collaboration and expedite progress towards net-zero and nature-positive goals.
