Serica Energy has announced an extension of its contract with Odfjell Technology for the provision of storage, preservation, maintenance, and platform drilling services on the Bruce platform in the UK North Sea. The extended contract will remain in effect until November 2025, demonstrating the ongoing commitment between the two companies to support the Bruce platform.

Stuart Sutherland, the Country Manager UK for Odfjell Technology, has expressed his enthusiasm for the contract extension, emphasizing the opportunity for Odfjell Technology to further support operations by integrating their business areas and offering streamlined service delivery.

The Bruce field, located in the Northern North Sea, is a producing asset that has delivered an average production of around 7,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) net to Serica in the first half of 2023. The gas from the field is exported via the Frigg pipeline to the St Fergus terminal, while the liquids are exported via the Forties Pipeline System.

Serica Energy holds a 98% stake as the operator of the Bruce field, with BP and Total each holding a 1% stake as partners.

The two-year contract extension is a testament to the longstanding partnership between Serica Energy and Odfjell Technology, reflecting the mutual trust and commitment to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the Bruce platform.

In conclusion, the partnership between Serica Energy and Odfjell Technology plays a significant role in the ongoing success of the Bruce platform. The contract extension signifies a commitment to continued support and collaboration in advancing their shared goals in the UK North Sea.
