India also hosted the three-day GPAI Summit, which convened representatives from 28 member countries and the European Union to deliberate on the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The summit culminated in the GPAI New Delhi Declaration, affirming the commitment to advancing safe, secure, and trustworthy AI. The event further illuminated India’s position as a global epicentre for AI innovation and provided a platform for startups and major tech companies to showcase their AI applications and products.

The First India Stack Developer Conference was yet another milestone, providing a forum for digital leaders to engage in discussions regarding India Stack and its pivotal role in next-generation innovation.

Notably, the Union Cabinet approved the incentive scheme for the promotion of RuPay Debit Cards and low-value BHIM-UPI transactions, demonstrating the government’s steadfast support for digital payments and the promotion of cost-effective payment platforms. Additionally, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has implemented stringent security mechanisms for Aadhaar-based fingerprint authentication to ensure robust security and thwart spoofing attempts.
