The other day, my father and I found ourselves waiting in line at the local car wash. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the line was moving at a commendable pace. As we waited, we observed that the car wash had recently installed a computer kiosk. This kiosk allowed customers to select their wash option and pay for it without the need for human intervention.
The incident prompted me to reflect on the transformative impact of technology on our daily routines. It has notably increased the convenience of mundane tasks, such as obtaining a car wash. Rather than enduring a protracted wait and subsequently articulating our chosen wash option to an employee, we were able to autonomously complete the process with just a few selections on the kiosk screen.

From utilising mobile apps to order food to managing finances online, I rely heavily on technology for various aspects of daily life. Even in interpersonal interactions, technology serves as a vital means of communication with friends and family, through social media or instant messaging.

Whether at the car wash, in the workplace, or in the confines of one’s abode, technology possesses the potential to enhance the quality of our lives, the efficiency of our work, and the dynamics of our interactions with others.
