The SEC in Glasgow will play host to the return of Scotland’s Speciality Food & Drink Show from January 21 to 23, 2024. This highly anticipated event will bring together foodies and connoisseurs to explore the finest products from across the country. In light of the increasing importance of local sourcing to retailers, this exhibition presents a valuable opportunity to discover new, locally, regionally, and nationally sourced Scottish products.

Organisers report that sales of exhibition space at Scotland’s exclusive fine food and drink show are soaring and nearly back to pre-pandemic levels. This reflects the eagerness of retailers to enhance their offerings with quality Scottish products.

The Show will be a focal point for convenience stores in Scotland, showcasing an impressive array of food and drink products available for sampling from across the country. Of special note are the regional stands, which exemplify the diverse produce of Scotland. The return of Orkney with its local producers, Food from Argyll, and East Lothian Food & Drink will spotlight the richness and variety of Scottish cuisine.

Exciting new additions to the exhibitor lineup include Arrochar Alps Gin, Brose Oats, Holleys Fine Foods, Highland Moon, Isle of Mull Coffee, Select Drams, Tchai-Ovna Fine Teas, and The Inventor’s Gin Company. These newcomers will join established favourites such as Rora Dairy, Edinburgh Honey, Galloway Lodge Preserves, and Great Glen Charcuterie, offering retailers a wide selection to explore.

The Launch Gallery will provide a platform for new and emerging companies in the industry. This year, the Gallery will feature up-and-coming brands such as Cruice, MYXD Cocktails, D!P Club, Kinnaird Kitchen, Three Robins Oat Milk, and Pochle (Inchcolm Distilling), poised to leave their mark in the market.

In addition to the diverse range of products, the Show will host the Talking Shop series, featuring live presentations, panel discussions, and masterclasses. These sessions will cover a variety of topics, including digital marketing, harnessing AI for retail, maximizing the tourist trade, sustainability, leveraging trends for business growth, and operating pop-up shops.

Nessie’s Den, a beloved feature, will also make a return to captivate and entertain, as emerging suppliers showcase their products to retailers.

In conjunction with Scotland’s Trade Fair, the event will also feature around 500 home, giftware, jewellery, textiles, stationery, and craft suppliers showcasing their products to retailers around the globe, offering a comprehensive sourcing experience.

For retailers seeking to broaden their range with high-quality local products, this event will present an invaluable opportunity to explore, taste, and source the finest food and drink products from across Scotland. We therefore encourage you to mark your calendars for a trip to Glasgow next month and immerse yourself in a showcase of delectable delights.
