New Ultra-Small Magnetic Position Sensor Unveiled by Infineon Using TMR Technology

Infineon has recently unveiled the Xensiv TLI5590-A6W magnetic position sensor, representing a significant advancement in position sensing technology through the use of Tunnel Magneto-Resistance (TMR) technology. This cutting-edge sensor offers high precision and a compact solution for a variety of consumer and industrial applications, eliminating the need for bulky optical encoders and Hall sensors to accurately measure position.

The Xensiv TLI5590 sensor has been meticulously designed to deliver exceptional linearity and precision within a remarkably small package. It harnesses the power of a spintronics-based device called the magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ), enabling it to provide precise length measurements in a compact form factor.
