As per a recent report, the industry generated a substantial £7.1 billion for the UK in 2022, representing a remarkable 29% increase in gross value added (GVA) since 2018.

In terms of employment, Scotch whisky is a major creator of jobs, supporting a total of 66,000 jobs across the UK, with 41,000 located in Scotland. The industry has witnessed the creation of 24,000 jobs over the past decade, reflecting its substantial impact on workforce development.
