The United States Postal Service (USPS) has recently granted Zebra Technologies Corporation a contract for a ‘Change of Address Reporting System and Remote Forwarding System (COARS-RFS) printer technology refresh’ until 2028. Per the terms of the contract, USPS will acquire ZD411 compact printers, which will be utilized for label printing in the Postal Service’s COARS-RFS applications.
According to Zebra, the ZD411 compact printers offer increased processing power, enhanced security features, and compatibility with various operating systems such as Windows, Android, and iOS. These printers are capable of accommodating nearly any type of media with their direct thermal and thermal transfer print methods. Additionally, they offer added flexibility with field-installable options, such as batteries for increased mobility and worker productivity.
Chris Kelly, the senior vice president and general manager of North America at Zebra Technologies, expressed the company’s appreciation for the opportunity to provide innovative printer technology to USPS as part of the contract. Notably, Zebra received a 2022 Supplier Performance Award from USPS for its exceptional service and delivery.
The ZD411 compact printers included in this contract complement the range of Zebra solutions already in use by USPS, including handheld mobile computers, wearable scanners, software, secure end-user help desk support, secure repair services, as well as industrial and mobile printers.
