The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has disclosed that an astounding 25 lakh women have obtained application forms for a groundbreaking new initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas. The ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan’ is designed to provide phased financial support totalling Rs 35,000 with the goal of generating an annual income of Rs 1 lakh for each of the 39 lakh micro-entrepreneurs.”
