NFTE Reveals Top 60 Finalists for World Series of Innovation Competition

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) has announced the finalists for the highly-anticipated 2023-2024 World Series of Innovation (WSI) competition. This annual event, presented in collaboration with NFTE, Aramco, and MetLife Foundation, offers a platform for young individuals aged 11 to 24 to present their innovative solutions to challenges aimed at advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dr. J.D. LaRock, President and CEO of NFTE, expressed his pride in the diverse group of young entrepreneurs from across the globe who participated in the World Series of Innovation competition. He commended their talent, creativity, and commitment to developing groundbreaking solutions to address crucial issues such as equity and inclusion in the era of AI advancements, as well as new transportation technologies and education.

This year, a total of 5,537 participants from 77 different countries took part in the WSI challenge, which commenced in September 2023. The finalists were carefully selected through a blind judging system within the NFTE community, resulting in the selection of 60 exceptional groups to advance to the next round, based on their innovative solutions to six challenge categories supported by Aramco, BMO, Citi Foundation, Ernst & Young LLP (EY US), MetLife Foundation, and Zuora.

An outstanding feature of the competition is the opportunity for the finalists to further develop their ideas as they compete for over $14,000 in cash prizes. The first, second, and third place winners in each challenge category will be announced on April 15, 2024, at innovation.nfte.com.

Notable statements were made by Feda Al-Tuwaijri, Aramco Head of Corporate Citizenship, and Tia Hodges, the President and CEO of MetLife Foundation. They both expressed their enthusiasm and delight at the creative energy and talent displayed by the young participants and expressed their eagerness to witness the further evolution of the finalists’ ideas in order to positively impact their communities and beyond.

The list of finalists for the 2024 World Series of Innovation Competition is available on the official website.
