Clifford Chance Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer from Accenture

Clifford Chance, a prominent magic circle law firm, has recently announced the appointment of Daniel Burton as its new chief financial officer. With a career spanning 24 years at professional service firm Accenture, Burton is slated to commence his new role in mid-June, succeeding current global CFO Patrick Glydon, who is set to retire in July. Glydon, with over seven years of experience as the CFO at Clifford Chance, joined the firm after a tenure at Dentsu.

Bringing a wealth of experience to his new position, Burton currently serves as Accenture’s CFO of global strategy and consulting. His prior roles at Accenture include serving as CFO from March 2020 to September 2022, in addition to a tenure as finance director for over two years.

Burton’s appointment comes at a pivotal juncture for Clifford Chance, as the firm recently announced annual revenues exceeding £2bn for the first time.
