The dining landscape at Goose Green has been significantly enhanced with the much-anticipated debut of Gharaana, a recently launched BBQ restaurant specializing in authentic South Asian cuisine.
Situated in the former Cactus + Coffee unit, Gharaana has swiftly captured attention with its diverse menu featuring a delectable assortment of dishes from Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Bhutan. The culinary expert behind this establishment is none other than head chef Deepak Gurung, a seasoned professional with two decades of experience in the culinary arts across India, Dubai, and the UK, having held positions with renowned brands such as Accor, Marriott, Radisson, and Sheraton. His most recent role was serving as the Group Executive Head Chef for Brilliant Hotels.
Gurung, well-versed in the nuances of South Asian cuisine, is enthusiastic about acquainting the locals with “authentic South Asian cuisine” grilled exclusively over charcoal. The menu boasts standout offerings such as the Old Delhi Chicken Tikka Makhani, Chicken Momo, and Tibetan Thukpa.
Gharaana is open every day except Tuesdays, welcoming patrons from 5pm to 10pm, and extending its hours till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
When questioned about the choice of Altrincham as the restaurant’s location, Gurung succinctly stated, “For any venture to prosper, a prime location is essential, and we have found that in Altrincham. Furthermore, we aim to introduce something novel that I believe the people of Altrincham will be receptive to. They are open to embracing new experiences.”
The arrival of Gharaana is anticipated to introduce a refreshing and delightful approach to South Asian cuisine in Goose Green, with local residents eagerly anticipating the opportunity to savor the culinary creations crafted by Gurung at this new dining establishment. Therefore, for those seeking a culinary escapade, Gharaana may indeed become the next must-visit destination for discerning food enthusiasts.
