Weebit Nano Shows off Robustness of ReRAM in Tough Automotive Conditions

Weebit Nano Limited, a leading developer of advanced memory technologies for the global semiconductor industry, has unveiled the impressive durability and endurance of its Resistive Random-Access Memory (ReRAM) in extended automotive conditions. The testing involved subjecting the ReRAM to high temperatures of 150 degrees Celsius and extensive program cycles.

The ReRAM module, developed in SkyWater Technology’s 130nm CMOS (S130) process, has already been fully qualified at temperatures of up to 125 degrees Celsius, meeting the standards for Grade-1 automotive applications. Weebit Nano is now highlighting the following accomplishments to showcase its performance at higher temperatures and endurance levels:
– High endurance: 100,000 cycles
– High-temperature stability: lifetime operation at 150 degrees Celsius, including cycling and retention

According to Coby Hanoch, the CEO of Weebit Nano, the remarkable performance achieved aligns with the stringent requirements specified by automotive companies. This demonstration of resilience will further strengthen the company’s position in the automotive industry. The recent results serve as a reaffirmation of the suitability of Weebit ReRAM for use in microcontrollers, automotive components, and various other applications requiring high-temperature reliability and extended endurance.

Weebit Nano’s Vice President of Quality and Reliability, Amir Regev, is scheduled to present the test results at the 8th Electron Devices Technology and Manufacturing Conference (IEEE EDTM 2024) in Bangalore, India, from March 3-6, 2024.

The Weebit ReRAM IP module, with full support in SkyWater’s S130 process design kit, is available for implementation. Additionally, the company is collaborating with DB HiTek to ensure the qualification of its ReRAM technology for customer designs. Further details can be found at www.weebit-nano.com/reram-s130.
