A Yorkshire Entrepreneur’s Collaboration with Shaun the Sheep

Local entrepreneur Sarah Turner, hailing from Ilkley in Yorkshire, has established her own business from her kitchen table and has gone on to become a well-known brand and award-winning entrepreneur. This significant accomplishment has garnered attention, leading to her recent recognition in the House of Lords for her outstanding work.

Sarah Turner, the exclusive producer of 100% natural British wool dryer balls in the UK, and the recipient of the prestigious 2019 Wool Innovation Prize, has collaborated with the beloved Aardman character, Shaun the Sheep. Together, they are preparing to unveil a special range of products utilising British wool, featuring Shaun the Sheep and fragrances inspired by the meadow flowers at Mossy Bottom Farm.

Their partnership has already attracted acclaim, with their products named finalists for the Branded Gift of the Year at the esteemed Gift of the Year Awards, hosted by the Giftware Association. The new range, encompassing Laundry Balls, Laundry fragrance, Linen Spray, and Felted Soap, received a positive reception from retailers at the Spring Fair in Birmingham, where it was nominated for Gift of the Year.

Sarah has been a vocal advocate for the use of wool and shared her expertise on the material in a TedX talk. Her collaboration with Shaun the Sheep allows her to propagate this message to a broader audience. Her fervour for wool led her to become a member of The Worshipful Company of Woolmen, an ancient livery company in the City of London, as well as a supporter of the Rare Breed Survival Trust and The Campaign for Wool.

The collaboration with Shaun the Sheep is in keeping with Sarah’s dedication to offering environmentally-friendly alternatives to conventional plastic balls. Little Beau Sheep tumble dryer balls are meticulously crafted in Yorkshire from 100% British wool, providing a chemical-free and biodegradable solution that naturally softens clothes.

Following her departure from her corporate career, Sarah established Little Beau Sheep, with the goal of creating eco-friendly products using British wool. The range also encompasses other sustainable laundry and body care products. The Shaun the Sheep x Little Beau Sheep collection is currently available on the Little Beau Sheep website.

Through her partnership with Aardman, Sarah has found a means to reach a wider audience while promoting the use of sustainable materials. The collaboration not only benefits the environment but also showcases the potential of British wool in crafting innovative and eco-friendly products.
