Celebrating US-Pakistan Partnership in Fostering Entrepreneurship

A momentous occasion occurred to celebrate the collaborative efforts of the United States and Pakistan in promoting innovation and success in Pakistan’s entrepreneurial landscape over the past decade. This groundbreaking event, the first of its kind and inclusive of individuals with disabilities, brought together government officials, corporate leaders, investors, Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs), startups, winners of the Pakistan Startup Cup, and various stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Distinguished figures in attendance included Naeem Zamindar, Former Minister of State & Chairman Board of Investments, as the Chief Guest, Deputy Counselor for Public Affairs Valerie O’Brien of the U.S. Embassy, and President TiE Islamabad Saqib Ahmed. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments and influence of the partnership over the last 10 years.

Naeem Zamindar conveyed his enthusiasm in commemorating this significant milestone, underscoring the event as a platform to honor the success stories and remarkable journey of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan.

The culminating event featured a range of activities, such as an Investor’s Roundtable, presentations of success stories by top startups, interactive discussions, networking opportunities, and the screening of a documentary showcasing the Pakistan Startup Cup’s 10-year journey.

Valerie O’Brien from the U.S. Mission in Pakistan underscored their pride in supporting entrepreneurship in Pakistan, with a dedication to empowering young individuals to become job creators and change-makers.

The event assembled a lineup of distinguished international speakers and industry leaders, making it an optimal forum for those passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation in Pakistan. With a focus on international collaboration, the event aimed to strengthen cross-border partnerships, showcase global startup networks, and highlight the achievements of Pakistani startups on the global stage.
