Furthermore, Bechtel professionals will deliver training courses for the university’s teaching staff.

Leszek Hołda, President of Bechtel Poland, conveyed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to contribute towards the development and training of Poland’s future nuclear power workforce. Together with the scientists and students of Warsaw University of Technology, Bechtel will inspire the next generation of nuclear professionals, who we hope will join our local team of specialists, and, in the long run, help establish a European nuclear innovation hub in Poland.”

The partnership has garnered admiration from Professor Adam Kisiel, Plenipotentiary of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology for Nuclear Energy, who underscored the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and industry leaders in nurturing a well-prepared workforce for the nuclear power sector.

As part of the program, Bechtel will provide support for local internships and collaborate with Warsaw University of Technology to establish scholarship programs. The initiative will also encompass various activities such as co-organized competitions, workshops, and research efforts aimed at advancing the nuclear power industry in Poland.

With 70 years of experience in the nuclear industry, Bechtel has played a pivotal role in delivering clean energy by constructing 150 nuclear plants worldwide, contributing over 76,000 megawatts of new nuclear generation capacity.
