Empowering the Next Generation: Qatar Chamber’s Young Entrepreneurs Workshop

The Qatar Chamber recently hosted the inaugural workshop for the ‘Young Entrepreneurs Initiative 2nd Edition’, which aimed to gather preparatory students from 28 schools under the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The objective was to introduce the students to leadership skills and instill an entrepreneurial mindset through practical training, encouraging them to channel their energies and ideas towards the betterment of society.

Acting General Manager Ali Saeed bu Sherbak al-Mansouri reiterated the Chamber’s unwavering support for initiatives and activities designed to help budding entrepreneurs develop their businesses and strengthen their role within the domestic economy. The ‘Young Entrepreneurs Initiative’ seeks to engage, inspire, and equip school students with a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship, enlightening them on the vital role played by the private sector in driving economic and societal progress. In addition, the initiative aims to cultivate innovation and creativity among students, providing them with the tools to establish and sustain their own ventures.

The workshop, led by Noora al-Awlan, Director of Research and Studies at Qatar Chamber, along with Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, President of the ‘Young Entrepreneurs Club’, covered a wide array of topics. Al-Sulaiti delivered engaging presentations on the fundamental concepts and traits necessary for a successful entrepreneur, drawing inspiration from real-world success stories. Business-minded students were also taught how to brainstorm and evaluate potential business ideas, and given insights on crafting integrated business plans encompassing all aspects of a venture, from marketing to financial management.

Delving into the crucial area of finances, al-Sulaiti touched on the various funding sources available to start-ups, as well as the efficient management of financial resources. His emphasis on the pivotal role of marketing in business success and the importance of digital marketing strategies underscored the valuable knowledge and experience imparted during the workshop. Moreover, al-Sulaiti shed light on project management and operational organization, advocating for the delivery of high-quality products and services.
