Her recent work includes a profile of Sam Altman and an in-depth piece revealing the surprising background of this Silicon Valley figure. She has also collaborated with fellow journalist Lizza Dwoskin on extensive pieces that explore the unexpected emergence of liberal Democrat Bill Ackman as a leader in the movement to end DEI.

Before her tenure at The Post, Alexis held positions at esteemed publications such as Jezebel and Wired, gaining valuable experience in daily news, investigative reporting, and editing features and essays. Her expertise in tech coverage can be traced back to 2013 when she served as a senior writer at the Columbia Journalism Review, focusing on the influence of technology giants on media and information distribution.
