The Sharjah Press Club, operating under the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, is delighted to unveil the program for the highly anticipated 13th edition of the annual Sharjah Ramadan Majlis. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, the event is scheduled to take place from March 18 to 21 at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah. This year’s lineup comprises distinguished speakers and experts who will delve into crucial topics in religion, sports, art, and entrepreneurship.
The inaugural session, titled “Football Skills: Establishment and Development,” will feature international football star Luka Modric, the midfielder of Real Madrid and the Croatian national team, and a recipient of the FIFA World Player of the Year award. This session, scheduled for Monday, March 18, will focus on the development of indigenous football talent, the maintenance of professional levels, and ways to cultivate rising generations in football that keep pace with the modern game.
On Tuesday, March 19, the Ramadan Majlis will host a religious lecture titled, “Religious Transaction,” presented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif from Cairo. The lecture will explore the tolerant teachings and etiquette of Islam, emphasizing the place of good conduct and morals in the Islamic faith.
The third session, dedicated to entrepreneurship, will take place on Wednesday, March 20, featuring experts such as HE Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, Executive Director of the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office “Invest in Sharjah”, Fadi Ghandour, founder of Aramex and Chairman of Wamda, and Nawal Al Nuaimi, Emirati entrepreneur. This session will discuss the attractive investment environment in Sharjah, the factors necessary for achieving success in entrepreneurship, and showcase various models of pioneering economic projects.
Concluding the 13th Ramadan Majlis edition, the session “Art and Life… How cinema affects people’s lives” will feature artist Ahmed Al Sakka and actor Kosai Khauli discussing the impact of drama and cinema on people’s lives, particularly with the emergence of concepts such as cinema therapy. This session will be an engrossing exploration of the role of films and drama in building positive values and beliefs in society.
The 13th Sharjah Ramadan Majlis sessions will also include interactive activities and contests, making it an engaging and enriching experience for all participants.
