The 14th annual Women’s Lifestyle Expo took place at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center in Kalamazoo on Saturday, showcasing a wide array of products and services catered to women’s interests. The event featured diverse booths, offering everything from shopping to massages, as well as attractions such as an exotic petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting, and music by a DJ. Female officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were also in attendance.
Led by organizer Heather Dombos, the expo aimed to highlight the accomplishments of local women entrepreneurs and their businesses. Dombos stressed the importance of not only supporting small, local businesses, but also specifically championing women in business. Her dedication to providing a platform for young women entering the business world was evident, and she expressed her satisfaction in nurturing and showcasing their talents.
A notable feature of the expo was the inclusion of Aroma Labs, where attendees had the chance to create their own unique fragrances, offering an engaging and communal experience.
Brea Oakes, the owner of Brea Oakes Photography Studio, a boudoir photography studio, emphasized the significance of women empowering each other. She emphasized the importance of women supporting one another and underscored the ongoing need for empowerment within the community.

The event concluded with the announcement of the 15th annual Women’s Lifestyle Expo, scheduled for March 21-22, 2025, promising another exciting gathering of female entrepreneurship and empowerment.
