St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru recently played host to a University-level workshop on entrepreneurship development, with the theme ‘Ignite Your Inner Fire’, organized by the ED forum. The purpose of the event was to inspire participants to unleash their creative potential and foster innovation through interactive sessions, group discussions, hands-on exercises, and brainstorming activities.
The workshop commenced with a divine hymn performed by Sannidhi and Nidhi, invoking blessings for the event. Michelle D’Souza, the secretary of the ED forum, acted as the emcee for the day. Dr Devi Prabha Alva, the staff convenor of the ED Forum, delivered the welcome address and ensured the smooth running of the workshop. Carol concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
Mita Menezes, an internationally certified psychologist, therapist, coach, and facilitator, served as the resource person for the workshop. As an alumna of St Agnes College, she expressed her delight in returning to her alma mater and shared her aim of fostering self-discovery, idea development, and actionable insights among the participants. She was accompanied by her husband, Rohan Fernandes, a family business entrepreneur, who provided support throughout the session.
The chief guest for the workshop was Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the principal of St Agnes College. She encouraged the audience to embrace their creativity and highlighted the importance of personal and professional growth, using Mita’s journey as an example.
