Pocklington Preparing for a Tasty Food and Drink Festival Weekend

This coming weekend, the town centre of Pocklington is preparing to host another Food and Drink Festival. Scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, the heart of the town centre will be lined with stalls along Market Place, leading to a stage and seating areas in St Peter’s Square. East Yorkshire Council has reported that this year’s event will be even larger, with additional stalls located in Railway Street.

The Pocklington Food and Drink Festival offers a weekend filled with excitement and enjoyment. Attendees can anticipate experiencing the finest in food and drink, including street foods, unique bars, al fresco dining, and select grocery and craft vendors. Live music, comedy performances, and children’s entertainment will also be part of the festivities.

In other news, a man has been taken into custody following a police incident in North Yorkshire. According to the county’s police, a Scarborough man was arrested yesterday morning after a call to the force control room.

Additionally, two teenagers attempted to disrupt a major event in York, but their efforts were stopped by the North Yorkshire Police. Lastly, over 30 historical and cultural sites across the UK will be celebrating World Heritage Day today, including iconic places like Stonehenge, the Tower of London, and the city of Bath. As for York, the city still aspires to achieve World Heritage status in the near future.
