MIT Art, Design & Technology University has recently concluded its Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The aim of the programme was to provide educators and trainers from various institutions in Maharashtra with the necessary training and skills. This event, organized under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, Govt. of India, New Delhi, drew participation from over 30 esteemed Faculty Members representing diverse domains including Engineering, Food Technology, Agri-business, Management, Pharmacy, Arts & Commerce.
The initiative was spearheaded by MIT-ADT University’s Institution Innovation Council (IIC), with additional support from the Atal Incubation Centre, CRiEYA, MIT Institute of Design Innovation Programme, and PERA India Association. The FDP featured a line-up of esteemed speakers and guests, including Chief Guest Shri Rajesh Mandlik, CEO & MD Setco Spindles, who emphasized the critical role educators play in nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets among students. His insights and real-world examples inspired educators to explore innovative approaches to curriculum design and teaching methodologies, with a focus on empowering students to become future leaders and change-makers in their respective fields.
Keynote speakers at the event highlighted the paramount importance of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Discussions, led by Senior Professors and industry experts, ranged from ‘Idea Generation and Problem Solving – Business Opportunities’ to ‘Competitive Edge through IP’. The event also included activities such as Treks & Trails to Ramdara Hills, a visit to the Chintamani Ganpati Temple, and a Valedictory Ceremony and Certificate Distribution.
