The Kashmir University (KU) has recently announced a strategic alliance with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) in Ahmedabad, aiming to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals in the region.
Dr. Sartaj Hussain, the Coordinator of the NewGen IEDC (Incubation Centre) at KU, has engaged in productive discussions with Dr. Sunil Shukla, the Director General of EDII, and Prof. Satya Ranjan Acharya, the Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship Education at EDII, to strengthen entrepreneurial education and support systems at Kashmir University.
An official statement has highlighted EDII’s commitment to establishing a sustainable entrepreneurial environment in Jammu and Kashmir by providing faculty support, entrepreneurship training, and developing specialized courses for the university. Additionally, EDII will offer mentorship and winter contact programs at its campus, extending expert guidance and financial support to trainees.
The collaboration is hailed as a significant partnership between the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmir University, and EDII Ahmedabad, all working towards the common goal of boosting entrepreneurial initiatives in the region.
Professor Nilofar Khan, the Vice Chancellor of KU, has lauded the collaboration as a “milestone” in the university’s mission to nurture entrepreneurship and innovation in Kashmir.
