The ceremony, held at the Soldier Support Institute’s auditorium on April 26, served as a fitting tribute to a man whose enduring and positive contributions have left a lasting impact on the Finance Corps.

During the induction ceremony, Colonel Michelle Williams, the corps’ chief and school commandant, spoke in high regard of Morrissette’s exceptional service and legacy. Beginning his active-duty service in 1972, he devoted over 30 years to the Finance Corps, leaving an indelible mark on the organization. His contributions were so significant that the Paul L. Morrissette Leadership Award was established in July 2016 by the school to recognise outstanding enlisted graduates who exhibit exceptional leadership, professionalism, and selfless service.

During the ceremony, Morrissette expressed his gratitude to the officers and non-commissioned officers he had the privilege of serving with during his illustrious career. His humility and appreciation for those who had supported him throughout his career were evident as he graciously accepted the honour.

The occasion was truly remarkable as Morrissette’s photo was unveiled in the school house, signifying his permanent place in the Finance and Comptroller School’s Hall of Fame. His enduring legacy will continue to inspire current and future members of the Finance Corps, serving as a testament to his unwavering commitment and exceptional leadership.
