The forthcoming event, Empowering Female Entrepreneurs, is scheduled to take place at the Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) on Wednesday 8 May. This initiative, presented by THRIVE4women, is focused on showcasing the success stories of three remarkable Irish female entrepreneurs who have successfully launched and grown their own businesses.
Adrienne Magnier, the founder of Zarasyl, Aisling Kirwan of Positive Carbon, and Sinéad Crowther of Soothing Solutions will serve as the keynote speakers at the event. They will share their entrepreneurial journey and provide valuable insights into what it takes to start and grow a successful business in today’s competitive market.
Supported by Enterprise Ireland and KPMG, the event aims to inspire women with entrepreneurial aspirations and equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge to turn their dreams into reality. The event is designed to appeal to women from diverse backgrounds, including professionals and those in senior corporate positions, as well as individuals with advanced qualifications.
Research shows that the number of women in Ireland aspiring to start their own business is on the rise. The Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs initiative aims to encourage and support these women in establishing scalable and innovative businesses with a focus on export markets.
The event will also provide attendees with the opportunity to apply for the Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs support programme. This programme is geared towards guiding and mentoring aspiring female entrepreneurs in their journey towards building successful and sustainable businesses.
The Thrive4Women team is hosting the event at the Recital Room in the Carroll’s Building, starting at 6.30pm. While tickets for the event are free, attendees are encouraged to register in advance due to limited seating.
The three female entrepreneurs set to speak at the event have each achieved notable success in their respective fields. Sinéad Crowther was recognised as the Enterprise Ireland High-Potential Start-Up (HPSU) Founder of the Year for 2023, an accolade that speaks to her outstanding accomplishments at Soothing Solutions. Adrienne Magnier and Aisling Kirwan have also made significant impacts with their businesses, Zarasyl and Positive Carbon, respectively.
The event is organised by Lavina McGahon, Manager of the THRIVE4Women Programme, and will be hosted by Paula Fitzsimons. Paula Fitzsimons is the driving force behind the Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs initiative and has played a pivotal role in empowering and nurturing female entrepreneurship in Ireland.
The event aims to provide a platform for the three successful female entrepreneurs to share their stories of resilience and success, with the goal of inspiring and motivating aspiring entrepreneurs in attendance. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights and learn from the determination, resilience, and focus demonstrated by these successful women in their business journeys.
The Empowering Female Entrepreneurs event in Dundalk is part of a series of events taking place across the country, with events in Dublin and Galway having already taken place in 2024. Each event is geared towards inspiring and informing future female entrepreneurs and highlighting the various supports available to them.
Overall, the Empowering Female Entrepreneurs event is a valuable opportunity for aspiring female entrepreneurs to gain insight, inspiration, and practical knowledge from successful women who have blazed a trail in the business world. It is a unique chance to connect with like-minded individuals and gain the motivation and support needed to turn entrepreneurial aspirations into thriving, successful businesses.
