Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management Established by SOA University to Train Agriculture and Veterinary Students

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed-to-be University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has recently inaugurated a new Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, aimed at imparting essential skills to agriculture and veterinary science students, enabling them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs. The Centre was officially opened by SOA Vice-President Saswati Das on Friday, May 10.

The primary objective of the new Centre is to provide education and training to students of the Institute of Agriculture Sciences (IAS) and Institute of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (IVSAH), empowering them to establish their own businesses and achieve self-sufficiency. This initiative was supported and addressed by SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda.

Distinguished individuals in attendance at the inauguration included SOA Pro-Chancellor and Registrar Prof Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan, Dean of IAS Prof Santosh Kumar Rout, Dean of IVSAH Prof Brahmadev Pattanaik, Dean (Students’ Welfare) Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das, as well as various faculty members and other SOA officials.

This development follows an earlier collaboration between Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University and Mysuru-based Kaynes SemiCon Private Limited (KTIL), during which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on April 25. The collaboration aimed to provide specialized courses and certificate programmes in the field of semiconductors, underscoring SOA’s commitment to furnishing students with a comprehensive education to excel in their chosen disciplines.

The establishment of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management is a promising stride towards cultivating an entrepreneurial culture within the agricultural and veterinary sectors. By equipping students with the requisite tools and knowledge, SOA is empowering the next generation to make a meaningful impact in their respective industries.

It is heartening to witness educational institutions taking proactive measures to ensure students are well-prepared for the practical challenges they will encounter in the real world. Such initiatives are pivotal in nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and fostering innovation across various spheres. With adequate guidance and resources, students can harness their potential to effect positive change in society.

In conclusion, the establishment of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management by SOA University is a commendable initiative that has the potential to shape the future of agriculture and veterinary science. Its impact on empowering students to become self-reliant and enterprising individuals is certainly something to anticipate in the years ahead.
