New Lunch Spot Ohara’s Takes Kennebunk by Storm

A new lunch venue and catering service has recently opened at The Shops at Morning Walk in Kennebunk, and it is already drawing significant attention. For the Love of Food and Drink, a business originally based in Wells, has extended its operations to Kennebunk. However, this time they have added a personal touch, naming the new location For the Love of Food and Drink at Ohara’s, after their daughter, Ohara.

Ohara, who officially became a part of the business on opening day, has been involved in the family enterprise since she was just 9 years old. Now, at the age of 19, she is excited and honoured to have a business bearing her name. The Eatery offers a range of delicious meals, including chili, soups, salads and mouth-watering sandwiches. Furthermore, they also offer ready-to-go heat-to-eat meals in the cooler near the counter.

One exceptional aspect of For the Love of Food and Drink at Ohara’s is their commitment to using the finest ingredients and preparing everything in-house. According to the owners, all their offerings are homemade, from the soups to the meats. The shop also stocks goods made in Maine, enhancing the quality and variety of their offerings.

In addition to the delectable menu, business owners Bill and Wendy Irish are thrilled to be part of the Kennebunk community. Having enjoyed a successful catering career, they are now eager to be a part of this vibrant town.

The premises where Ohara’s is situated was previously known as Talulah’s Market and Table. The former owner still runs the market, working alongside the Irishes and providing support with her own customer’s orders.

The business itself is a family affair, with Bill and Wendy Irish working together to ensure its success. With Bill’s experience as a chef and Wendy’s background in mixology, the couple has created an incredible partnership. As they always say, the key to business success is to love what you do, and the Irishes truly love what they do.

For anyone wishing to sample the remarkable meals at For the Love of Food and Drink at Ohara’s, they can visit the shop from Wednesdays to Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be sure to stop by and experience the love and passion that goes into every dish!
