Rackspace Technology, a prominent end-to-end provider of hybrid multicloud and AI solutions, has announced a successful collaboration with Young Hollywood, a trailblazing entertainment network, to revolutionize their video content management. The collaboration involved a multi-stage Google Cloud solution that established the necessary infrastructure, utilised third-party metadata, video assets, and processed videos using the Google Cloud Video Intelligence Application Programming Interface™ (API).
Recognizing the need to enhance flexibility, agility, and embrace innovative technologies, Young Hollywood made the strategic decision to transition to the cloud and sought a trusted partner to assist with the migration. Building upon a positive prior experience with Rackspace Technology, D K Sinha, President of Public Cloud, stated, “Previously, Young Hollywood relied on servers in the Rackspace Technology data center, and due to the long-standing, positive experience with Rackspace Technology Private Virtual Cloud (PVC) support, they knew we were the right partner to turn to for help with expansion to Google Cloud.”
As a result of the collaboration, 5,092 video files were migrated to Google Cloud Storage™, resulting in a tenfold increase in video processing speed, from 10 videos per hour to over 100. This significant advancement allowed Young Hollywood to access rich video intelligence data across 5,000+ video assets, facilitating easy information retrieval for users.
