Cascador, a business growth programme, has revealed its intentions to provide grants of $50,000 to 10 Nigerian entrepreneurs through its 2024 Entrepreneurial and Leadership Initiative. Scheduled to take place from November 4 to 8, 2024, at Lagos Business School, the programme seeks to provide African entrepreneurs with the opportunity to expand their businesses and enhance their leadership skills by collaborating closely with successful American and Nigerian entrepreneurs.

Dave Delucia, Co-founder of Cascador, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative in a statement, emphasizing the positive impact it aims to bring to Lagos. The programme has attracted participants from various Nigerian cities such as Lagos, Kaduna, and Abuja, as well as applicants from other African countries including Lesotho, Kenya, and Ghana. Nevertheless, the primary focus remains on Nigeria to establish a robust and supportive community within the nation.

Cascador’s selection criteria target mid-stage entrepreneurs with a minimum of two years in operation and annual sales revenue exceeding N50,000,000. The programme is highly selective, accepting only 10 fellows each year. In addition to the grant, Cascador will provide each participant with a personal development stipend of $5,000. Applications for the 2024 cohort will close on June 30, 2024.

According to Delucia, the programme consists of a five-day intensive workshop followed by six months of mentorship with the aim of assisting entrepreneurs in navigating the challenges of establishing and operating a business in Nigeria. The programme’s goal is to empower entrepreneurs to build successful businesses and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.

The initiative not only offers financial support but also facilitates valuable networking opportunities for participants, enabling them to connect with a local network that promotes growth and development. Consequently, the impact of the programme goes beyond the financial realm, creating an environment for entrepreneurial success.

With the objective of empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a supportive business community in Nigeria, Cascador’s 2024 Entrepreneurial and Leadership Initiative presents a compelling opportunity for ambitious mid-stage entrepreneurs to elevate their businesses. As the application deadline approaches, interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to thoroughly prepare and submit their applications for a chance to benefit from this exclusive programme.
