Value added Program on “Understanding Financial Basics for Business Owners” at SMVITM, Bantakal

SMVITM, Bantakal – 20th June 2022:

A value added course on the “Fundamentals of Finance for Entrepreneurs” was recently conducted at SMVITM, Bantakal from 29th May to 14th June. The program was meticulously organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SMVITM in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council. The intensive course, spanning over 30 hours, covered various modules on finance, delivered by highly qualified resource persons.

The valedictory program on 14th June featured insights from Harish Belman, HEAD, Premier Investments, and a Governing Council member of SMVITM, who served as the chief guest. During his session, Mr. Belman shared a plethora of information related to the opportunities present within the Capital market, providing valuable guidance to the participants.

Prof Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of SMVITM, delivered a widely respected presidential remark emphasizing the impact of such programs in nurturing innovative ideas for problem-solving. He commended the participants for their eagerness to engage in such enlightening events, acknowledging their commitment to knowledge and growth.

Dr. Madhukar Nayak, the coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SMVITM, provided a comprehensive summary of the 30-hour value added course, highlighting the crucial role played by the resource persons and coordinators in delivering a highly informative and engaging curriculum.

The event also saw the distribution of certificates to the participants, acknowledging their dedication and successful completion of the program.

Sahana Karanth, senior assistant professor in the Department of CSE, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting the stage for a day of valuable learning and exchange of ideas. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Usha Parvathi, senior assistant professor in the Department of Physics. The proceedings were effectively hosted by Adithi Nayak, a 3rd-year CSE student, who ensured the smooth flow of the event.

The successful completion of the program underscores the commitment of SMVITM in fostering the growth and development of aspiring entrepreneurs, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of finance in the business world.
