Karma Automotive, the primogeniture and exclusive ultra-luxury automaker in California, has proclaimed the reestablishment of its Karma Innovation & Customization Center (KICC), denoting the inception of a fresh period in the creation of ultra-luxury vehicles in Southern California.
The KICC-Off Celebration, which will be graced by state and local dignitaries, including Assemblymember Dr. Corey Jackson, California Senator Richard Roth, Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera, and Irvine Mayor Farrah Kahn, symbolizes the resurgence of the KICC. Here, Karma Automotive will manufacture its new series of ultra-luxury electric and E-REV vehicles, encompassing the super-coupe Kaveya and the four-seater Gyesera. The production of the 3rd Generation Karma Revero sport sedan, the world’s premier luxury plug-in hybrid, is already underway.
Marques McCammon, President of Karma Automotive, conveyed the pride of the company in the reopening of the KICC, underscoring that the vehicles produced here embody California’s enterprising vision, technological innovation, dedication to craftsmanship, and sheer prowess. He underscored that the KICC serves as the vital core of Karma Automotive and that the company is devoted to broadening EV manufacturing and infrastructure in Southern California.
Karma Automotive’s dedication to the region is further corroborated by its endorsement of Bill AB 2448, which strives to form Electric Vehicle Economic Opportunity Zones in Riverside County, where the KICC is situated. This initiative aims to incentivize EV-related businesses and initiatives, contributing to job creation, enhanced air quality, and economic opportunity.
The KICC represents a substantial investment of over $100 million, with the overall investment in Southern California communities projected to surpass $600 million. Upon reaching full operational capacity, the KICC is expected to provide over 250 well-remunerated employment opportunities, benefiting residents in the area.
The company has also initiated production at the Battery Assembly Facility, augmenting supply chain efficiency and sustainability. Additionally, Karma Automotive is concentrating on furnishing job training, workforce development programs, and collaborations with local vocational schools and universities to expand opportunities for community members and employees.
Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Karma Automotive is defining California’s ethos of innovation and daring entrepreneurship through its luxury vehicles, such as the 3rd Generation Karma Revero sport sedan, the Gyesera four-seater, and the upcoming Karma Kaveya super-coupe. The company’s retail network spans North America, Europe, South America, and the Middle East.
