James Hobbs brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously held key positions at reputable companies such as Dyson and Great State. At Dyson, he led the global digital technical team, overseeing its expansion to over twenty members. His outstanding contributions were recently recognised in the prestigious British Interactive Media Association’s BIMA 100 for Sustainability. In a similar accolade, Aer Studios received a BIMA Award in the Innovative App category in October 2023.
Aer Studios is highly regarded for its expertise in developing websites, apps, games, and platforms, and was the only creative technology studio in the South West to secure a spot on the BBC roster in the previous year. With the addition of James Hobbs, the company is poised to elevate its position in the industry and advance its sustainable agenda.
The studio has also welcomed a new trio of practice leads, comprising Max Waring (front end), Jon Chard (back end), and Aaron Bushell (dev-ops). This development follows Lucy Rees’ appointment as head of people and culture, marking a significant strengthening of Aer Studios’ leadership team.
