The esteemed annual FDF Awards, which shine a light on innovation, industry talent, and the development of healthier products in the food and drink sector, has recently unveiled its shortlist of nominees. Karen Betts OBE, chief executive of The Food and Drink Federation, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming awards ceremony, highlighting its significance in the industry calendar. The awards’ judging panel, composed of prominent figures in the food and drink industry, has meticulously curated the final shortlist of nominees. The ceremony, proudly sponsored by KPMG, will be presided over by esteemed Irish chef, cookbook author, and television presenter Clodagh McKenna on Thursday, 19th September, hosted at The Roundhouse in London.
Linda Ellett, UK head of consumer, retail, and leisure at KPMG, highlighted the critical importance of a thriving food and drink sector. She underscored the sector’s role in driving employment, economic growth, environmental sustainability, food security, personal health, and consumer satisfaction.
