Leading global cybersecurity firm ZENDATA has recently announced a five-year, US$35 million partnership with Qatari technology giant Salam Technology, with the objective of delivering high-quality cybersecurity services to companies in Qatar and throughout the Gulf region.
This partnership enables Salam Technology to furnish top cyber companies with cutting-edge cyber tools and expertise, ultimately enhancing the cybersecurity maturity of the local ecosystem. Furthermore, the collaboration is expected to create new employment opportunities for Qatari and Gulf nationals as the industry continues to expand.
A crucial aspect of the agreement is the establishment of an efficient Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the Gulf, powered by ZENDATA. This will provide Qatari and Gulf companies with access to an elite cyber Incident Response Team, international cyber consultants, Threat Intelligence, and unique cyber Intellectual Property (IP).
Additionally, the partnership will introduce ZENDATA’s innovative ‘SOC as a business’ (Saab) model, designed to transform SOCs into revenue-generating entities. Through this model, ZENDATA will collaborate with companies to develop customised SOCs, utilizing shared or exclusive resources to enhance security and unlock new revenue streams.
Fawaz Hadid, General Manager of Salam Technology, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the potential for delivering exceptional IT and OT cybersecurity services in the region. He also stressed the importance of contributing to the development of a skilled Qatari and Gulf national workforce while partnering with ZENDATA to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem.
Isabelle Meyer, Co-CEO of ZENDATA, highlighted their goal of supporting Qatar and the wider GCC in safeguarding critical infrastructure and services from cyber threats. She also reaffirmed their commitment to helping regional companies thrive in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
The partnership between ZENDATA and Salam Technology not only introduces the innovative SOC as a Business model but also includes a range of managed services and products, such as the flagship ZEN360 Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and other supporting services.
With this new partnership, it is evident that the Gulf region is taking proactive measures to enhance its cybersecurity capabilities, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on businesses and organizations in the region.
