The automotive aftermarket in China is currently experiencing a substantial surge in growth, and the stage is set for the return of China’s Auto Aftermarket Guangzhou (AAG) 2024. This event will convene international automotive aftermarket players, providing comprehensive coverage of the supply chain and showcasing a diverse range of products and services. AAG 2024 is scheduled to take place at the Poly World Trade Expo Center (PWTC Expo) in Guangzhou from 28th to 30th August 2024, with an expected 1,500 exhibitors across six halls and an exhibition space of 70,000sqm.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area plays a pivotal role in China’s national economic development, serving as a hub for multinational companies and a centre for innovation. AAG is a vital platform for international trade, facilitating the advancement of after-sales car care in South China and providing an opportunity for multinational companies to access the mainland market.
With China leading the global production and sales of vehicles for 15 consecutive years, the aftermarket has gained significant importance within the automotive industry. In 2023, vehicle production and sales in China reached record highs of 30.1 million units, representing a year-on-year growth of 11.6%.
The increasing consumer demand, particularly from the younger population with higher purchasing power, has led to a shift in focus towards automotive customisation and driving services. Additionally, the rapid advancement of intelligent driving technology has created new opportunities in the segment, prompting automotive manufacturers to develop specialised products and frameworks swiftly to meet the evolving demands of drivers.
A key highlight of AAG 2024 will be the focus on new energy vehicles, leveraging resources across driving systems, chassis, body, and standard mechanical parts. With the rapid development of new energy vehicles, there is a growing need for automotive parts and components manufacturers to enhance their R&D capabilities and produce cutting-edge technologies to meet the new technical demands and market challenges.
The exhibition will also introduce the Accessories & Customising and Driving Services sectors, showcasing leading brands with related products, emphasising the importance of meeting consumer expectations and the rising demand for automotive customisation and driving services.
China’s Auto Aftermarket Guangzhou 2024 is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd (Sinomachint), two prominent entities with a strong foothold in the automotive industry.
The event is poised to be a pivotal platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and business opportunities in the automotive aftermarket sector, reflecting the robust growth and evolving trends in the Chinese automotive industry. With a focus on innovation, advanced technologies, and consumer-driven products and services, AAG 2024 is set to provide valuable insights into the dynamic automotive aftermarket landscape in China.
