Starting in Walthamstow, I explored the William Morris & Art from the Islamic World at the William Morris Gallery, showcasing cultural inspirations. At the Estorick Collection, I viewed Antonio Calderara’s last weekend exhibit, which featured a mix of representational and abstract artworks. My visit to Twilight Contemporary highlighted Elena Njoabuzia Onwochei-Garcia’s impressive larger works. Susie Macmurray’s innovative sculptures at Pangolin Gallery caught my eye, particularly her deer antler dress. I admired Liz West’s unconventional Christmas tree installation, which promises to dazzle night visitors. Eddy Kamuanga’s poignant pieces at October Gallery address the environmental impacts of mining in the DRC, while Philip Colbert’s branded Lobsteropolis at Saatchi Gallery offers a familiar pop experience.
