The Event Photography Awards celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a special ‘Best Ever’ contest at Skinners Hall, attracting over 4,000 votes globally. The Event Photography Awards celebrated its 10th Anniversary by hosting a special ‘Best Ever’ contest, featuring winning images from past EPA competitions alongside top entries in various categories. More than 4,000 event industry professionals from over 40 countries participated in the online voting, culminating in a prestigious awards event at the newly renovated Skinners Hall in London, now called 8½ London.
Guests enjoyed a guided tour of the venue, complemented by exquisite catering from Blue Strawberry and uniformed service from Off to Work staff. The main Livery Hall showcased award-winning photographs from the competition’s history, enriched by a display of shortlisted images on screens, all produced by Visions Group, who also enhanced the ambiance with mood lighting.
Cath Dupuy’s photograph, ‘Lunar Reflection’, captured in The Painted Hall, won the title of Best Ever EPA Overall Winner after also winning the Best Ever Cultural Events category. The runner-up, ‘Feeding Time’ by Stever Grogan, was followed by commendable entries by Andrew Billingham and Matt Chung, also featuring works related to The Painted Hall.
The Best Ever Portfolio award went to Noah Goodrich, recognised for his impressive accumulation of seventeen EPA accolades over the years. The People’s Choice Award was presented to Anne-Marie Forker, who not only won two categories but also drew significant public vote interest.
Ian Knight took home the Best Amateur Award, underlining his previous successes in the EPA. Founded in 2014 by Philip Atkins to highlight the importance of effective photography in the events sector, the competition has grown significantly, gaining strong support from industry professionals globally.
