Odd Crew has released acoustic versions of ‘New Waters’ and ‘Farewell’ from their Dark Matters series, their first acoustic songs since 2019. They’ve announced an upcoming tour in Bulgaria and a rescheduled UK show on 24th May at Downstairs at The Dome, featuring special guests MAB.
Bulgarian progressive rock band Odd Crew has released acoustic versions of two songs, ‘New Waters’ and ‘Farewell’, from their Dark Matters album series. These are their first new acoustic tracks since their 2019 album, The Lost Pages. The recordings took place earlier this year at Odd Crew’s ButcherHouse Studio, providing a fresh take on their music, complemented by a video directed by Petar Dimov, who has previously worked on the Dark Matters visuals.
The band expresses their passion for acoustic renditions, stating, “As a band we’ve always loved to get an acoustic guitar and just sit, play and sing. A lot of our songs have started this way and Dark Matters is no exception. Now we get to experience some of those songs as if we’re on a desert island at night just waiting to be saved.” They acknowledge that creating these acoustic versions evokes intimate feelings during writing and performance.
The Dark Matters Acoustic Sessions showcase Odd Crew’s versatility by presenting their core sound, enabling fans to connect more deeply with the music. These new acoustic tracks coincide with their upcoming tour in Bulgaria, as well as a rescheduled UK show at Downstairs at The Dome in London on 24th May, where they will perform with special guests MAB.
