The Migration Blanket Collection will be showcased at Islington Museum from March 10th to April 3rd, following International Women’s Day. This initiative seeks to foster stronger, more equitable communities while addressing environmental issues.
The exhibition features artworks and films produced through ARTconnects, a project designed to unite individuals, communities, and organisations in promoting peace, tolerance, gender equality, mental health, and environmental sustainability. Founded by Salma Zulfiqar BEM, ARTconnects has been recognised for creating a positive impact in diverse areas.
Over the past eight years, Salma’s work has influenced leaders globally, reaching communities across Europe, the USA, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Salma stated, “There has never been a more important time to bring communities together to support those who are marginalised and isolated.”
