Greece’s Notable Return to the London Book Fair 2025

Greece will participate prominently in the London Book Fair from March 11-13, 2025. The national stand will present over 360 publications and promote contemporary Greek literature through various initiatives, including translations supported by GreekLit. Greece is set to make a notable return to the London Book Fair from March 11 to 13, 2025, reinforcing its role in the global publishing arena. This prestigious event, ongoing since 1971, attracts over 30,000 publishing professionals annually, serving as a vital networking hub.

Greece’s national stand (Stand 5D101) will showcase over 360 publications in multiple languages, including works from the Ministry of Culture and cultural institutions. Translated works via the GreekLit subsidy program will also be featured, with participation from over 50 Greek publishers highlighting the potential of contemporary Greek literature internationally.

The Greek pavilion will present specially designed print and digital materials, alongside video presentations that spotlight modern Greek authors and their works.

As part of its professional and cultural agenda, Greece will engage in industry seminars, roundtable discussions, and cultural events to enhance interactions within and outside the fair.

A group of eight Greek publishers will conduct business meetings with various national delegations, literary agents, and international publishers to strengthen global connections. This initiative benefits from collaboration with Greek and foreign publishers, members of the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture, and support from the Greek Embassy and the British Council.
