Vice President Iliana Iotova will open the Bulgarian stand at the London Book Fair. This marks Bulgaria’s second year at the event, showcasing Bulgarian authors and facilitating meetings. Iotova will also engage with the local Bulgarian community and officials, promoting cultural exchange and networking for the country’s literary scene.

Vice President Iliana Iotova will inaugurate the Bulgarian stand at the London Book Fair, as announced by the presidential press office. This year marks Bulgaria’s second consecutive participation in this major event, which is the second largest global book fair after New York.

The stand is set up under Iotova’s auspices, thanks to an invitation from the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in London. It will showcase distinguished Bulgarian authors, along with translators, publishers, and literary agencies.

Throughout the book fair, various events will occur at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute and Hatchards, the oldest bookstore in London. These will feature interactions between Bulgarian writers, translators, and their British counterparts.

During her stay, Iotova will connect with members of the Bulgarian community and local Bulgarian Sunday schools. Additionally, she is scheduled to meet with Joanne McCartney, London’s Deputy Mayor for Children and Families.

The 2025 London Book Fair is set for March 11-13, where Bulgaria will again have a dedicated stand aimed at facilitating meetings for authors, translators, and publishers. The stand, number 2D70 in the Olympia Hall, covers 24.5 square metres and includes bookshelves and three tables with chairs for discussions.

Vice President Iotova’s participation at the London Book Fair highlights Bulgaria’s commitment to promoting its literary culture internationally. Through interactions between Bulgarian authors and the British literary community, the event furthers cultural exchanges. The dedicated stand serves as a platform for business networking and showcases Bulgarian literature.
